Markerstudy Group was founded in 2001 to provide insurance solutions through a network of UK insurance intermediaries and distribution divisions. Markerstudy Group of Companies comprises of a variety of complementary businesses and brands, which provide a full range of insurance products and services including windscreen and vehicle repair, accident management and niche insurance. The company is primarily known for its leading insurance brands Markerstudy Insurance, Zenith Insurance, Geoffrey Insurance (previously Chaucer Direct) and Auto Windscreens. With millions of customers and almost 4,000 members of staff throughout the UK and Gibraltar, this rapidly expanding company manages a vast dataset containing sensitive, personally-identifiable information.

To protect its increasing customer database and brand’s reputation, MarkerStudy recognised the need to safeguard against intruders and emerging threats

THE CYBERSEER SOLUTION

MarkerStudy Group chose to deploy Cyberseer’s threat detection and analysis service, monitoring network traffic using the Darktrace Cyber Intelligence Platform.

RESULTS

Cyberseer offered a unique combination of Darktrace analytics, cutting edge technologies and subject matter expertise. Cyberseer’s team of professional Analysts investigated suspicious activity and determined the severity of threat, providing in-house security teams with actionable intelligence, preventing the loss of customer’s data and serious damage to reputation and operations.

The Darktrace technology was initially set up in the main data centre. Since the success of the Proof of Concept, Markerstudy have restructured their entire network in order to utilise the service more effectively. The insurance group also benefitted from having immediate visibility of newly acquired businesses when they join the Markerstudy network.
